Photos of Blairsville and Vicinity
Old Union County Courthouse ~ Blairsville
This fine old edifice now houses
the Union County Historical Society
World Famous Blairsville Restaurant
This place is so popular that the only time
we could get a photograph of it was on
Thanksgiving day, when it was closed!
Any other time there's so many cars outside
that it simply cannot be seen!
An old farm house in Union County.
While this photo was being taken, we
were watched by a group of curious cows!
This photo was taken while exploring a
quaint rural road in Union County.
A mid-summer view of the falls in
beautiful Amicalola Falls State Park,
This is a view from Brasstown Bald,
the highest elevation in Georgia
(4,784 feet above sea level).
This is me, "Bubba Winston", on top of
Brasstown Bald. Yeah, you found me out!
"Bubba Winston" is really a fat ol' lady!
This cafe is at the big flea market
in nearby Helen. The river head
referred to is the Chattahoochee,
up where it's still clean!

My "cyber friends, Barb & Bud, pose in front of
an old, old cabin on Hwy. 129.
This final (for now) photo is of
Lake Nottely. It's a wonderful fishing
and recreation lake, even as low as
it appears here.
